Journey planners have told me to leave the B6254 and use the station underpass to cut off a couple of hundred metres - not worth it!

  • Icon 149615 Drop kerb needed here for cyclists to join the cyclepath along the bridge
  • Icon 149591 Make High St one way eastbound only between West St roundabout and Carshalton Pl. Make Ruskin Rd westbound one way to accompany.
  • Icon 149590 Close junction to through traffic to prevent rat running.
  • Icon 149589 Close off to non-emergency vehicles to prevent rat running.
  • Icon 149588 There are narrow, main roads that are very busy. It is unsafe & scary to try & cycle this area, any cycleways would help make this area more accessible.
  • Icon 149587 Path required here and Further along this road. Dangerous bend here.
  • Icon 149586 A path here is needed
  • Icon 149585 Path needed here or traffic calming measures. Very dangerous road here especially . Cars drive very fast and nowhere for walkers
  • Icon 149584 No path along some parts and it is needed as very dangerous road
  • Icon 149583 Pavement widths here need to be widened as it's impossible to pass without having to step into the road, especially if you're walking with a pram.
  • Icon 149582 This is by far an away one of the worst junctions in Stamford as a pedestrian. I've noticed this particularly since I've started pushing a pram - the width of the junction, the interactions with (and speeds of) the cars using the car parks, and the lack of suitable dropped curbs on the pavements make this an incredibly unfriendly junction, and yet it is on the main route into town from the Meadows and the station. Redesign required!
  • Icon 149581 Pedestrian crossings are definitely needed at this point to cross east-west, both on the north and south side of the Water Street junction.
